Norspace Hire was established in 1985 as a privately owned company in Lisburn, Northern Ireland to hire pumping equipment and temporary accommodation to the growing construction industry. After exceptionally fast growth in 1988 a strategic decision was taken that the company would not be a general hire company but would focus on growing geographically through two specialist divisions.

These divisions became Arrow Rentals, a pump hire company, and Norspace which specialises in temporary accommodation and welfare facilities. As the company grew, two new locations were opened in Dublin and Cork in order to provide a truly nationwide hire cover in Ireland. In 2008 the pumping division was sold to ITT Flygt allowing the current management team to focus on the growth and expansion of Norspace. Through continuous growth Norspace has become the leading supplier of temporary accommodation and welfare units throughout Ireland.
